How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule?

I am having problems with my 3 month old cockapoo. He gets plenty of exercise during the day.

When it comes to bed time, he sleeps in bed by me. I usually go to bed at 11 and wake at 7. He almost always wants to get up at 5am and will NOT let me sleep. I try taking him out in case he needs to do his business but most the time, he doesn't even go, so I don't think he's getting up early to go to the bathroom.

Is there anything I can do to get him to adjust to my schedule? I am sick of draggin *ss at work all day!How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule? This is what I did with my puppy. First of all, don't let him sleep with you until he is trained. He likes the warmth of another person, so get him a nice sized crate and place a large bottle or container of hot water in the crate. He will curl up next to it and sleep really well. He'll think he's by another dog. This really helps. Also, move the crate out of your room if he is disturbing you. He'll learn the rules of the house as long as you are strict and consistent.

Good luck and get some zzzzz's!How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule? You could crate train him, and make his bed in the crate...don't put him in there as a punishment, but use it as a bed. Make it comfy, with a nice warm squishy blanket, and some quiet toys. Again, it's really important, especially at the beginning, to not put him in the crate as a punishment...or he won't ever want to go in there!

I would put him in there for the whole night, and let THAT be his bed, and his sleep cycle won't interfere with yours. If he wakes up early, he'll have his quiet toys, and perhaps a rawhide chew to occupy hime until you get up.

Good luck! How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule? He might not be able to hold it that long. You will have to persevere awhile longer. Try taking him out before you go to bed.How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule?maybe go to bed earlier.... when i got my pup he was only 2-3 weeks old waay too young to be away from his mamma, and i had to bottle feed him every 1-2 hours 24/7 for quite awhile...

eventually he'll get used to sleepin all night or maybe he's sayin it's time for breakfast.. also by the way you do know since he's sleepin in ur bed w/ you its gonna turn into a bad habit thats a mistake i made especially since my dog wieghs 115 lbs!!How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule?I put my dog in a bathroom with a closed door. She waits until someone lets her out. Your pup will soon learn that this is his room and will go there to sleep. Make sure that you have comfortable bedding for your dog to sleep onHow can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule? If you haven't already done so, you might try posting this in the %26quot;dogs%26quot; category, located under %26quot;pets.%26quot; I'm sure you'll get more tips there than you would in this category, as toddlers and puppies have vastly different bedtime needs. *wink*How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule?Just like a baby, in bed with you is bad. I got my new mini schnauzer to fill the space in my bed since my husband went over seas. But i found that my schedul wasnt his schedule. I still keep him in my room but he's in a crate, and he has things that occupy him, should he be awake. A quiet chew toy like Cloth (not squeaky plastic). Also i make sure he has plenty of access to food and water up UNTIL half an hour before bed. If he has to go he has to go...but if i can curb that...it makes life warmer and fuzzier for us all. Those are my tips.

Also, the chew toy is only temporary because i Know he will chew it up. They last about a week but i buy the ones that are 3 packs for about 2 dollars.. Im ok with that expense because he lets me sleep from 10p- 6am

Plus i just bought a Kong brand ball.. its nigh indestrcuctable and its quiet. That works out super he gets all his chewing done his teeth feel better to him (teething) and i get to sleep cause he is not bored. How can I get my puppy to adjust to my sleeping schedule?Try making him sleep alone. Patience will be needed as he will probably cry, but you must establish your place as the ALPHA dog and not him. Once that is done he will adjust to you.
