How long does it usually take for your body to adjust to the medications Risperdal?

I just began takingthis medication on Friday, along with Celexa, and i get very sleepy. I would like to know how long it takes for your body to adjust thus come out of this *knocked out* phase of it.How long does it usually take for your body to adjust to the medications Risperdal? It can take anywhere from 2 to 3 months for your body to adjust....it also depends on your body size and the doage amount....if you feel real sluggish then contact your doctor he/she may need to adjust to a lower dosage. Only you know how the medication is making you feel so you need to always communicate with your dr to make sure of the appropriate amount for you. good luckHow long does it usually take for your body to adjust to the medications Risperdal? It usually takes a couple of weeks. I hope it works for you.How long does it usually take for your body to adjust to the medications Risperdal?3 or 4 day i would call dr in a week if you still feel drowsy all meds have a period to adjust to depending on the drug and the person each one is differentHow long does it usually take for your body to adjust to the medications Risperdal?Hello...my son was on risperdal and he looked zonked out for a few weeks until his body adjusted to it, Can I offer you some experience with this drug, SEVERE WEIGHT GAIN!!!!!How long does it usually take for your body to adjust to the medications Risperdal?Well I had monthly injections of Risperidone (Risperdal) and never got used to it. It made me feel like a zonked out Zombie and I also felt weak. I did not gain weight I lost 14 pounds when I didn't need to.

It is supposed to take approximately six weeks to get used to it, but no anti psychotic is symptom free that is why there is such low compliance with treatment.

If the side effects are unbearable and you start getting the shakes, you can take procyclidine as well. Discuss how you are feeling with your doctor.

But to be honest it is a pretty vile medication
