There is no simple way to adjust brightness that I know of. If you're playing an mpeg video, you can go to the view menu%26gt;options%26gt;filters%26gt;mpeg decoder and asjust your settings there.
One of the best ways to adjust color, contrast and brightness only applies if you have an NVIDIA graphics card. First, go to the NVIDIA website, download and install the latest drivers if you haven't done so already. then you can right-click on the desktop and go to properties%26gt;settings%26gt;advanced%26gt;( name of your graphics card). If you then go to the section called '(name of graphics card)%26gt;color correction' (it should be on a menu that slides out to the left), choose 'overlay' in the 'apply color changes to' box, and adjust the settings as you like. These settings apply to all video players.
