How hard is it to adjust to boot camp and after that military life?

I think the hardest part for me will be leaving everyone behind. . . I was just wondering how hard it is to adjust to the whole thing, especially if I've never been away from home. I think leaving is gonna everything is gonna kill me but this is something I really want. . .How hard is it to adjust to boot camp and after that military life?Everyone adjusts differently. It isn't like you won't have contact with your family and friends. During your initial training your contact will be limited.

Try to look at the posiitve there will be others in your situation. You also will be doing new and exciting things and meeting a whole bunch of people. You will get close to some of these people and they become your extended military family.

You also will get to take leave during your military career.

Even on deployments you usually stilll have access to internet. How hard is it to adjust to boot camp and after that military life?It really depends on your physical standards. And what time you wake up usually. In boot camp, we were up at six and asleep by ten. Running, swimming and (my least favorite) the obstacle courses. If you eat well and dont smoke (BIG one!) you should be fine. What branch are you going into, by the way?How hard is it to adjust to boot camp and after that military life?Early on it will be difficult but as time goes by, you'll find it pretty easy as you develop friendship inside the military and these friendships could be unlike anything you've experience before. You may also find the structured life of the military can be quite soothing.

The most important thing to remember is that you get out of the military what you put into it.

If you keep isolated and don't try to make friends, you will find it unbearable. If you don't work hard everyday, you will find the whole thing a waste of time when you get out. I find those that stayed %26quot;gung ho%26quot; absolutely loved military life and those who tried to defy authority and act independent all the time loathed their time in the military. How hard is it to adjust to boot camp and after that military life?you probably wont have much time to get homesick so dont worry about that.

The friends you make there will be friends for life.

the secret to boot camp is keep going till you cant go any more and then go some more!

These will probably be the best or at least the most memorable years of your life.

good luck and enjoy your time it will be precious.
